How we use the details you give us when you book or write. Draft only.
This document is a draft, written for Elite Taxi St Andrews to review with its own legal adviser before launch. It is not legal advice and it binds nobody yet. Every bracketed placeholder below marks a detail only the client can supply.

Who is responsible

What we collect
When you book: name, email, phone number, pickup and destination addresses, passenger count, optional flight number and notes, and the payment choice you made. When you write to us: whatever you put in the message. We do not take card details on this site.
Why we use it
- To perform the booking contract — dispatch a car and contact you.
- To send the confirmation and the booking reference.
- To let you change or cancel the journey yourself at /manage, which requires matching the reference to the email you booked with.
- To answer an enquiry you sent. We use those details for that reply and nothing else.
Who we share it with
The assigned driver, so they can collect you. Our booking desk, via the operator messaging channel. Our email provider, to send the confirmation. [hosting, database and analytics processors to be named]. We do not sell your details.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for [retention period — typically 6 years for accounting]. Enquiry messages that do not become a booking are deleted within [90 days, unless the client sets another period].
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold, ask us to correct it, or — where the law allows — to delete it. Write to elitetaxistandrews@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
